The Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) commemorated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Late K. Kamaraj, a revered freedom fighter, former Chief Minister of Madras, and past President of the Indian National Congress, with a solemn floral tribute ceremony held at his statue at Dairy Farm Junction.
Led by ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker, the event witnessed the participation of several Congress leaders and workers who gathered to honor Kamaraj’s enduring legacy. His significant contributions to education reform and public welfare were remembered with reverence.
Among those who attended the ceremony were Mr. K. Ganeshan, Chief Spokesperson, ANTCC; Mr. Abdul Shabir, Treasurer, ANTCC; Mr. John Robert Babu, District President; Mr. Chamba Shanmugam, Congress Leader; Mr. M. Vikram, Youth Congress Leader; Mr. Akshay, Joint Secretary of Seva Dal, along with other party members and supporters.
The program concluded with party leaders reiterating their commitment to upholding Kamaraj’s ideals of inclusive development and social justice, vowing to continue working towards a progressive and equitable society.
