The President of the Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), Mr. Rangalal Halder, has written to the Secretary (Health), A & N Administration, urging immediate action to repair the non-functional X-ray machine at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Kadamtala, Middle Andaman.

In his letter, Mr. Halder emphasised the significant challenges faced by local residents due to the prolonged inoperability of the X-ray machine. He pointed out that the PHC serves as a vital healthcare facility for the region, and its inability to provide X-ray services has forced patients, including those from surrounding villages, to travel long distances to access diagnostic services. This disruption has led to delays in diagnoses and treatments, particularly affecting critical cases.

Recognising the importance of the PHC in providing essential healthcare to a large population, Mr. Halder has called on the Administration to prioritise the repair of the X-ray machine. He further urged the implementation of a regular maintenance schedule to prevent similar issues from arising in the future, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services for the community.
