Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, has expressed serious concern over the lack of an X-ray technician at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Manglutan, South Andaman. In a formal appeal to the Directorate of Health Services, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr. Halder urged immediate intervention to resolve the issue.

According to Mr. Halder, despite the availability of an X-ray machine at the health centre, the absence of a trained technician has rendered it non-operational. As a result, patients requiring basic radiological diagnostics are forced to travel long distances to other healthcare facilities. This situation, he pointed out, has caused significant inconvenience to the local population, particularly affecting economically weaker sections. The lack of timely diagnostics not only delays treatment but also imposes additional financial and logistical burdens on patients.

Mr. Halder called for the immediate appointment of a qualified X-ray technician at PHC Manglutan to restore essential healthcare services and alleviate the hardships faced by residents.

The ANTCC reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for improved healthcare infrastructure and urged the Administration to prioritize the matter with urgency.
