In a fervent plea to the Directorate of Health Services, Mr. Rangalal Halder, President of the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), has drawn attention to the acute shortage of medical practitioners plaguing the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Garacharma.
In a formal communication, Mr. Halder underscored the pivotal role played by CHC Garacharma in delivering essential healthcare services to the local populace. However, he lamented that the current deficit of doctors has precipitated substantial challenges for patients in need of medical care.
Detailing the gravity of the situation, Mr. Halder emphasized that the burgeoning patient influx juxtaposed with the inadequacy of medical personnel has led to protracted waiting periods, delayed treatments, and a discernible compromise in the quality of healthcare provision.
Recognising the pressing urgency entailed, Mr. Halder fervently implored the Directorate of Health Services to expedite remedial measures. He urged for the immediate allocation of additional medical staff to augment the operational capacity of the facility, thereby ensuring prompt and sufficient medical attention for all patients.
The plea from the ANTCC President underscores the imperative for swift action to alleviate the strain on Garacharma’s healthcare infrastructure and uphold the right to accessible and timely medical services for all residents.
