Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, has urged the A&N Administration to organize a two-day special camp at Harminder Bay, Little Andaman, to provide essential services such as Aadhaar enrollment and updates, Life Certificate submission for pensioners, and assistance for farmers under various schemes.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Mr. Halder highlighted the difficulties faced by residents in accessing these crucial services due to geographical barriers and inadequate transportation facilities. The request follows concerns raised during the recent visit of AICC Joint Secretary, Dr. Palak Verma, to Harminder Bay, where locals voiced their struggles in reaching service centres located far from their homes.

“The elderly and pensioners in the village need Life Certificates to ensure uninterrupted receipt of their benefits. Similarly, Aadhaar-related services, including new enrollments, biometric updates, corrections, and linking with bank accounts, are essential for seamless access to various government schemes. Additionally, many farmers require assistance with registration and verification under the various farmer related schemes,” Mr. Halder stated.

Emphasizing the urgency of the matter, he urged the Administration to deploy necessary personnel and resources to conduct the camp efficiently, ensuring that residents of Harminder Bay receive the services they need without hardship.
