In a bid to address the growing concerns surrounding the scarcity of essential Ayurvedic medicines at the Ayush Unit of the Community Health Centre in Rangat, the Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, has brought the issue to the forefront, seeking urgent intervention from the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration.

Mr. Halder expressed his distress over the unavailability of crucial medications, including tablets for blood pressure, sugar, and other Ayurvedic essentials, at the Ayush Unit. This shortage is posing a significant challenge for residents who heavily rely on these medicines for their health and well-being.

Highlighting the importance of the Ayush Unit in providing accessible medical care to the residents of Rangat, Mr. Halder emphasized that the current shortage impedes its ability to fulfill its vital role, thereby jeopardizing the health of the local population. With limited healthcare options available in the region, the Ayush Unit plays a pivotal role in ensuring healthcare accessibility.

“The residents of Rangat heavily depend on the Ayush Unit for their healthcare needs, and the shortage of Ayurvedic medicines is causing distress among the community. It is crucial to ensure uninterrupted access to these essential medications to safeguard the well-being of our local population,” stated Mr. Halder.

He further appealed to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to take immediate and decisive measures to replenish the Ayurvedic medicines in Rangat. Mr. Halder underlined the urgency of the situation, emphasizing that swift action is imperative to address the inconvenience faced by the residents and to ensure the continued provision of essential healthcare services.
