Anti-Narcotics Police Seize Ganja and Methamphetamine in Two Separate Operations on Valentine’s Day

The Anti-Narcotics Police Station carried out two separate operations against drug trafficking on February 14, 2026 — Valentine’s Day — at VSI Airport and the Dairy Farm area in Sri Vijaya Puram, resulting in the seizure of narcotic substances and the arrest of two individuals.

During the coordinated action, police seized 935 grams of ganja and 54.01 grams of methamphetamine from the accused persons. The raids were conducted based on specific intelligence inputs as part of ongoing efforts to curb the supply and circulation of illegal drugs in the Islands.

The two individuals were taken into custody, and cases under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 were registered. Investigations were initiated to trace the source of the contraband and identify any wider network involved in the trafficking.
