Anti-Narcotics Police Station Leads Awareness Campaigns in Port Blair

In observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Police Station organised a series of impactful awareness programs to educate the public on the dangers of drug abuse.

On June 24, 2024, an awareness session was held at the Head Post Office, Port Blair, where approximately 40 personnel gathered to learn about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The participants took a collective pledge to abstain from drug use, reinforcing their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle.

The campaign continued with an event at the STS Bus Terminus in Port Blair, facilitated by the Anti-Drugs Awareness Promotional Bus. This initiative, which began at the Police Headquarters on June 21, 2024, aimed to promote a drug-free society through various outreach activities.

On June 25, 2024, the Anti-Drugs Awareness Promotional Bus made a significant impact at Chouldari Bazar, displaying a range of anti-drug awareness posters and informative videos. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the local community, demonstrating widespread support for the anti-drug message.

These continuous efforts by the Anti-Narcotics Police Station emphasise the importance of education and preventive measures in combating drug abuse. The community’s active involvement underscores a shared commitment to fostering a healthier, drug-free environment for all.
