In observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 22, 2024, the Anti-Narcotics Police Station has launched a series of impactful awareness programs aimed at educating the public on the perils of drug abuse.
One of the key events was held at Saraswati Shishu Mandir Sr. Sec. School, where approximately 200 students gathered to learn about the harmful consequences of drug abuse. The interactive sessions were designed to engage students actively, culminating in a collective pledge to remain drug-free.
Additionally, the Anti-Drugs Awareness Promotional Bus organised an event at Marina Park. Launched from the Police Headquarters on June 21, 2024, this initiative aims to foster a drug-free society by reaching out to the community directly.
On June 23, 2024, the campaign continued at Bhatu Basthi, where the Anti-Drugs Awareness Promotional Bus displayed various anti-drug awareness posters. The highlight of the event was a compelling Nukad Natak performance by the Police Entertainment Team, dramatising the ill effects of drug use. The street play attracted a large audience, further amplifying the campaign’s message.
These events are part of an ongoing effort to spread vital information about the dangers associated with drug use and the importance of prevention. The Anti-Narcotics Police Station’s initiatives underscore a community-wide commitment to raising awareness and fostering a healthier, drug-free environment for all.
