The Andaman Nicobar Tour Operators Association (ANTOA) has formally requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands to appoint a Brand Ambassador for the promotion of tourism in the region.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, the association expressed its gratitude for the administration’s ongoing efforts toward the development and promotion of tourism in the islands. Highlighting the importance of the tourism sector, ANTOA emphasized that appointing a well-recognized Brand Ambassador would significantly enhance the visibility, credibility, and outreach of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a leading tourist destination at both national and international levels.
The association believes that this initiative will help attract more tourists, support the revival of the tourism industry following the pandemic, and contribute positively to local livelihoods dependent on the sector.
ANTOA expressed confidence that the Lt. Governor’s visionary leadership would facilitate positive consideration of this request. The association conveyed that such a development would be highly encouraging for the tourism community in the islands.
The letter was signed by Mr. R. Simson, President of the Andaman Nicobar Tour Operators Association.
