In a significant step toward improving healthcare accessibility in remote regions, Apollo Clinic recently conducted a series of free health camps across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, offering vital medical services to hundreds of residents.
One of the major outreach efforts took place in Diglipur, where a two-day health camp was held on April 30 and May 1, 2025, at the Community Health Centre and Surya Medical Store in Subhashgram. Over 200 patients received free consultations and diagnostic services. The camp featured specialists including Dr. A. Sai Srujan Reddy (Orthopedics), Lt. Col. (Dr.) Swamy M.V. (Retd.) (Gynecology), and Dr. Bilwa Harsha Moutri (ENT). Services such as vital sign checks, ECGs, diabetes screenings, and ENT endoscopy (at a nominal cost) were made available to attendees.
Earlier, on April 9, Apollo Clinic organized a similar camp at Shaheed Dweep, drawing more than 50 residents seeking specialized care. Another camp held on April 26 at Wimberlygunj benefited over 80 individuals, who received expert consultations and basic diagnostic services.
These camps are part of Apollo Clinic’s ongoing commitment to bridging the healthcare gap in underserved areas of the islands. The initiative has been met with positive public response, and the clinic plans to continue such community health programs in the near future.
