Applications have been called from bonafide citizens and organisations for the prestigious Lt. Governor’s Commendation Certificate. This honour will be awarded on the occasion of Independence Day – 2024, to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in various fields, including Arts, Commerce, Education, Sports, Games, Culture, Social Welfare, and other significant areas of contribution.
Application Process: Eligible candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format to the Confidential Cell at the Secretariat by 5 pm on July 22, 2024. Each application must include a Vigilance Clearance Certificate. Nominations must be endorsed by senior officials such as the Chief Secretary, PCCF, DGP, Principal Secretary, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Secretaries, and Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts. Recommendations from other Heads of Departments should be routed through the respective Administrative Secretaries.
Eligibility Criteria:
The commendation certificate recognizes excellence across a broad spectrum of fields. These include:
-Arts: Popular arts, music, painting, architecture, sculpture, photography, etc.
– Social Work
– Public Affairs: Law, public life, etc.
– Science, Engineering, Technology, and other learned professions
– Literature and Education: Including journalism
– Trade and Industry: Banking, tourism, handicrafts, etc.
– Civil Service
– Sports: Athletics, adventure sports
– Protection of Human Rights
– Protection of Environment
– Other notable areas as deemed fit by the Hon’ble Lt. Governor
Individuals who have significantly excelled in any of the mentioned fields and have made noteworthy contributions are eligible for this award. In cases of team nominations, the roles of each team member must be clearly defined, and only those with exemplary contributions should be nominated. Both officials and non-officials are eligible.
Exclusions:
Organizations or institutions dedicated exclusively to a particular religion, caste, creed, or ethnic group, and whose activities are confined to such, will not be considered for this award. This ensures the award aligns with the objectives of national integration and solidarity.

– Name of Nominating Authority and Contact Number
– Vigilance Clearance Certificate & Pay Level (for Government Servants)
– A 150-word citation along with a soft copy
Incomplete applications or nominations will not be accepted. Applications can also be submitted via email at hlgccani@gmail.com. It is imperative to adhere to the submission deadline of July 22, 2024, as the cases will be reviewed by the Screening Committee immediately thereafter.
