The Andaman Public Works Department (APWD) has decided to give a final opportunity to dependents of deceased government servants of APWD for submitting their applications for compassionate appointments in the new prescribed format. This decision follows an earlier notification issued in January 2023, which asked applicants to submit updated documents as per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) O.M No. A-12012/01/2022-Ad.II dated 17.06.2022.
Applicants were required to furnish the new format along with supporting documents, including the latest Annual Income Certificate, Unemployment Certificate, and Property Certificate. While many candidates complied and resubmitted their applications, some have yet to do so.
The APWD committee has now granted these remaining candidates one final chance. They are required to submit their fresh applications through their respective APWD divisions within 20 days from the date of this press note. Failure to comply within the stipulated time frame will result in their applications being treated as null and void, and no further correspondence will be entertained.
Eligible candidates are urged to take immediate action to avoid losing this last opportunity.
