In an effort to promote awareness and preserve the rich history, vibrant culture, and natural beauty of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Department of Art and Culture, A&N Administration has launched two creative online competitions — a Short Film Contest and a Photo Competition.
These contests invite participants to explore and highlight the unique essence of the Islands through the lens of creativity, storytelling, and visual artistry. Open to filmmakers and photographers alike, the initiative offers a platform for showcasing the Islands’ scenic landscapes, historical landmarks, diverse flora and fauna, composite culture, marine biodiversity, and sustainable living practices.
Submissions are open until midnight of 30th June 2025 and must be uploaded exclusively via the portal andaman.mygov.in. Each participant is permitted to submit only one entry in each category.
The top three winners in both categories — short film and photography — will be awarded certificates, along with UT-level recognition and rewards from the A&N Administration.
