Authorities have issued a weather advisory indicating that thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph and lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on July 23, 24, and 25.
In addition, squally weather conditions with surface wind speeds reaching 40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, are expected over the Andaman Sea, leading to rough sea conditions.
In light of the forecast, fishermen have been strongly advised not to venture into the sea along and off the Andaman Sea till July 25, and over the North Andaman Sea till July 26, for their safety.
