The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has launched a nationwide special campaign from August 25 to September 5, 2025, aimed at registering platform and unorganised workers to extend seamless access to social security benefits.

As part of this initiative, the Labour Department of the A&N Administration conducted awareness-cum-spot registration drives on August 30, September 1, and September 3 at Prothrapur, Mohanpura, and Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram respectively. A total of 182 unorganised workers were successfully registered on the e-Shram portal during the campaign.

The Labour Department has urged all left-out platform and unorganised workers in the Islands to register themselves on the e-Shram portal through the official link: https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/user/platform-workers-registration. Workers unable to complete registration online may visit the Labour Department office at Supply Line, Sri Vijaya Puram, on any working day for assistance.

For clarifications or registration support, workers may contact the department on 03192-230157 or 8900901130.
