The Branch MSME-Development & Facilitation Office (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India), Sri Vijaya Puram, in collaboration with the A&N Administration, organized an awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme on February 4, 2025. The event was held in the Conference Hall of the Prothrapur Block Development Office (BDO) and was aimed at prospective and existing PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries, as well as traditional artisans and craftspeople from 18 trades covered under the scheme.

The programme witnessed the participation of more than 85 potential beneficiaries from various trades under the PM Vishwakarma scheme.

The primary objective of the awareness programme was to enhance the outreach and increase enrolment of potential beneficiaries, especially in districts with low enrolment despite the presence of eligible tradespeople. During the technical session, a detailed presentation on the PM Vishwakarma scheme was delivered, providing participants with insights into its benefits and application process.

The event served as an important platform to inform and educate traditional artisans and craftspeople about the opportunities available under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, encouraging them to take advantage of the government’s initiative.
