As part of ongoing awareness initiatives on the theme “Soyameal – A Complete Protein Alternative”, AYUSH Hospital conducted a series of interactive sessions for patients, their families, and staff.
On August 16, an in-patient session saw Dr. Manabika Dutta, MO I/c (Homoeo), encouraging the inclusion of soyameal in daily diets. Dr. Nandini, MO (Yoga & Naturopathy), highlighted its contribution to overall health and urged families to incorporate it into regular meals. Dr. Supria Arangi, MO (Homoeo), shared easy-to-prepare soyameal recipes, while Dr. Vaishali, MO (Ayur.) and Ms. Mariamma, Nursing Officer I/c, distributed informative handbills to patients and staff.
A similar session was held at the OPD Complex yesterday, emphasizing soyameal’s benefits for heart health, bone strength, glucose metabolism, and immunity.
Another session was organized for participants of the Yoga Hall, followed by a yoga session promoting holistic wellness. Experts underscored the nutritional value of soyameal, highlighting its rich protein content, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.
The initiative, part of the Government of India’s efforts to promote soyameal, witnessed active participation from over 105 individuals, including patients, relatives, and AYUSH staff. Participants appreciated the interactive and informative discussions.
All programmes were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Kalyan P. Kadbhane, Deputy Director (AYUSH).
