Bambooflat Police Solve Chunnabhatta Ram Mandir Complex Burglary, Recover Stolen Gold and Cash

In a swift operation, the Bambooflat Police team, led by SHO Inspector Rizwan Hassan, successfully cracked a burglary case involving the theft of gold and cash from the Ram Mandir Complex at Chunnabhatta. The incident was reported on 17th November 2024.  

The investigation, spearheaded by SI P.K. Jabbar and assisted by a special team comprising SI Manoj Lal, HC Zubair, PC Suresh, PC Naushadu, and IRBn CT Basheer, utilised a combination of intelligence inputs and technical surveillance to apprehend the accused. The suspect, identified as T.K. Jagdish, a resident of Kalapathar, Ferrargunj, was arrested, and the stolen items were recovered and seized as per legal procedures.  

Further investigations revealed that the accused had a criminal history, including involvement in a theft case and three excise-related offences.  

The operation was carried out under the supervision of SDPO Bambooflat, Mr. Brij Mohan Meena (DANIPS), with overall guidance from Ms. Niharika Bhatt (IPS), SP South Andaman.  

The South Andaman Police lauded the Bambooflat team for their prompt action in solving the case. Authorities have urged the public to report credible information on contraband or illegal activities by contacting the helpline numbers 100, 112, 03192-258411, or 03192-236641. Informers’ identities will be kept strictly confidential.  

This successful operation reflects the ongoing commitment of the South Andaman Police to maintaining law and order in the region.
