The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, will organize Beach Games–2025 for Open Men and Women across all three districts of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands from December 19 to 21, with the aim of promoting beach sports, encouraging youth participation, and spreading the message of a drug-free society under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The district-level Beach Games will be conducted simultaneously at three scenic coastal locations—Corbyn’s Cove Beach in South Andaman, Karmatang Beach in North & Middle Andaman, and Jayanthi Beach at Lapathy in Car Nicobar (Nicobar District)—ensuring widespread participation from across the Islands.
In South Andaman, the events will be held at Corbyn’s Cove Beach from December 19 to 21, beginning daily from 3 pm onwards. The competition is open to participants and teams from Government and private schools, colleges, institutions, organisations, youth clubs, as well as the general public.
Participation in the Beach Games is free of cost, and interested participants or teams from South Andaman can collect entry forms from the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Administration Block (Room No. 3), Netaji Stadium, Sri Vijaya Puram. Completed entry forms must be submitted on or before 5 pm on December 18.
A wide range of beach sports disciplines have been included in South Andaman for both men and women, including Volleyball, Kabaddi, Tug of War, 50-metre Sprint, 100-metre Sprint, Football (7-a-side), Beach Sepak Takraw, Beach Mallakhamb, and Pencak Silat.
The Beach Games–2025 aim to foster sporting excellence, promote healthy lifestyles among youth, and utilise the Islands’ natural beach settings to popularise coastal sports.
