Bike Theft Case Solved by North and Middle Andaman Police Within 3 Hours

The team of PS Mayabunder & Diglipur once again cracked a theft case within three hours of registration and arrested the accused & recovered the stolen bike.  A criminal case vide FIR No. 68/22 dt. 29/12/2022 U/s 379 IPC was registered at PS Mayabunder on the complaint of Mr. A.J. Ajay Nair S/o Ajit Nair R/o Webi, Mayabunder regarding theft of his motorcycle bearing registration number AN-01 K-2816. All the Police Stations under North and Middle Andaman District were alerted.  

The same information was further disseminated to the informers of Police, mechanic shops and workers of the fuel outlet. Due to swift and timely action by the Police, an information was received at PS Diglipur that one person namely Suroj Mazumder hurled down the stolen motorcycle at the Govt. Petrol Pump, Diglipur and escaped from there. 

Soon Police team of PS Diglipur reached the Petrol pump and recovered the stolen bike and after an exhaustive search for two hours the Police staffs of Diglipur succeeded in apprehending the accused from behind the jungle of his house. The entire search was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Lakshya Pandey, DANIPS, SDPO, Diglipur and overall supervision of SP, North and Middle Andaman.

The general public has been requested to pass and share any credible information pertaining to any crime or illegal activities to their nearest Police Station or over phone No.100, 112 & 03192-273203. Police informed that the identity of the informants will be kept secret and they will also be suitably rewarded.
