Bishnu Pada Ray Advises MP to Move Calling Attention Motion in Lok Sabha to Highlight the Demand for 100% Job Reservation for Islanders

Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Ex-Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has released an audio clip on Social Media advising Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, MP, Andaman and Nicobar Islands to move Calling Attention Motion in Lok Sabha to highlight the demand for 100% Job Reservation for Islanders.

In the audio clip released, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray is heard explaining the process to be followed for moving the Calling Attention Motion.

The youth of Andaman and Nicobar Island have been demanding 100% job reservation for the locals in all Govt. Jobs of Andaman and Nicobar Administration from a long time. 

What is Calling Attention Motion?

Introduced in the Parliament by a member, the Calling Attention Motion is a process to call the attention of a minister with respect to a matter of urgent public importance and to seek an authoritative statement from him on that matter.

Since when has the Calling Attention Motion been introduced?

Calling Attention Motion was introduced in India in 1954.

Can the Calling Attention Motion be introduced in both Houses of Parliament?

It can be introduced in any house in the Parliament, whether it is Lok Sabha or a Rajya Sabha.
