Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has formally requested the establishment of a 200 MW nuclear power plant in the region. This demand was presented during his recent meeting with Finance Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman, alongside other development proposals for the islands.
In his letter to the Finance Minister, Mr. Ray emphasized the severe power shortage plaguing the islands, which he identified as a significant obstacle to economic growth and the overall welfare of the local population.
Mr. Ray’s proposal highlights the urgent need for enhanced infrastructure to support the development and prosperity of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In addition to the nuclear power plant, he outlined several other key demands aimed at fostering economic progress and improving living conditions for residents.
The call for a nuclear power plant reflects a broader strategy to address the unique challenges faced by the islands, ensuring a stable energy supply that can underpin future growth and development initiatives.
Ek DG set sambhaal lo pehle , nuclear plant bahut door ka baat hai. Solar plant ka kya hua hai dikhta hai. Sahi mein kaam karana hai to aisa betuka idea nahi dega koi. Nuclear plant k liye nuclear fuel kaun la k dega woh bhi safety issues hai , fir maintenance bhi aata hai. Leakage will wreak havoc.
Dada nuclear jjaroorath nahi hai gas power plant lagane se ho jayega
