Bishnu Pada Ray Inaugurates Water ATMs at Burning Ghat and Dairy Farm in Presence of Kuldeep Rai Sharma

Water ATM installed at Burning Ghat at Ward No.7 under MPLADS Fund of 16th Lok Sabha was inaugurated by Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Ex-Member of Parliament in the presence of Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Ms. Smitha R, IAS, Secretary, Port Blair Municipal Council on 19th December 2022. 

During the inauguration function, Ms. Amar Devi, Councillor, Ward No.7, Ms. Asha, Executive Engineer (Water), PBMC, prominent residents of the area and a large number of the general public were present.

Another Water ATM installed at Dairy Farm Junction, Near Lord Ganesh Temple, Ward No. 9 under MPLADS Fund of 16th Lok Sabha was also inaugurated by the Ex-Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray in the presence of Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament of A & N Islands and Ms. Smitha R, IAS, Secretary, Port Blair Municipal Council on 19th December 2022. 

At the inauguration function at Dairy Farm, Mr. B. Padmanabhan, Councillor of Ward No. 15, Mr. Y Joga Rao, Councillor of Ward No.14, Mr. V Ravichandran, Councillor Ward No.9, Ms. Asha, Executive Engineer (Water), PBMC, officials of PBMC, prominent residents of the area and a large number of general public were present.

Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands while addressing the gathering informed that there was a demand for potable drinking water to be made available for commuters at both locations. He added that now these water ATMs will be very useful for the general public.

Mr. Sharma requested the Secretary (PBMC) and Executive Engineer (Water), PBMC to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the assets created out of the public fund. 

Executing Agency for both works was Port Blair Municipal Council.
