In a major political win, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured both key leadership positions in the North & Middle Andaman Zilla Parishad elections. Mr. Sribash Das has been elected as Adhyaksh (Chairperson), while Mr. R. Madhavan has taken charge as Up-Adhyaksh (Deputy Chairperson).
The outcome represents a significant boost for the BJP in the region, underscoring growing public confidence in the party’s leadership and developmental agenda. The party secured a clear mandate, decisively defeating its primary rival, the Indian National Congress.
Reacting to the victory, Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the BJP and former State President of the party’s Andaman & Nicobar Islands unit, congratulated the newly elected leaders. He also lauded the collective efforts of the BJP cadre, attributing the win to their dedication and unity.
“This success is a testament to the trust the people have placed in the BJP’s vision and the tireless efforts of our party workers,” Mr. Jolly stated.
