Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi was sworn in for his third consecutive term on 9th June 2024, his entire Council of Ministers were also administered the oath in the same ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event was marked by the presence of key members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, celebrating their recent electoral success.
The BJP unit from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands attended the ceremony along with the newly elected Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray. Their presence underscored the significance of their victory in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency, achieved by a substantial margin.
Prominent figures from the region’s BJP unit in attendance included Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President of BJP Andaman and Nicobar Islands; Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of BJP; State Vice Presidents of BJP Andaman and Nicobar Islands Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Mr. Mohan Vinod, Mr. Prakash Adhikari, and Mr. B. Eswar Rao. Also present were Mr. Vivek Dadhakar, State General Secretary (Org) of BJP Andaman and Nicobar Islands; Mr. E. S. Rajesh, District President of BJP Nicobar District; Mr. Girish Arora and other party leaders.
The high morale within the BJP’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands unit reflects their significant electoral achievement.
