In a significant development today, Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Former State President of BJP, Andaman and Nicobar Islands convened a meeting with Mr. T.K. Baidya, Director of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), at the NHIDCL office in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Mr. Jolly expressed his appreciation for the proactive steps taken by NHIDCL in addressing road infrastructure concerns. He specifically lauded the initiation of repair work on various sections of NH-4, a crucial national highway. Furthermore, he commended NHIDCL for its efforts in expediting the process of finalising new road tenders, particularly those from Baratang to Gate No. 3 and from Gate No. 15 to Rangat, aimed at enhancing connectivity in the region.
In a notable revelation, Mr. Jolly disclosed that the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for engaging a contractor for the construction of the Middle Straight bridge is currently in the advanced stage.
