Port Blair, 10 April 2024
In a significant move ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the National President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. J P Nadda, is slated to address a massive gathering of BJP supporters and the general public at the ITF Ground in Port Blair on 11th April 2024, starting from 2 PM.
This election rally marks a historic occasion as it is the first of its kind in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. While such rallies are a common affair in different parts of mainland India, this will be the inaugural event of its scale and significance for the residents of the islands.
Ahead of the rally, Bharatiya Janata Party workers have been diligently canvassing door-to-door, distributing pamphlets, and extending invitations to the general public to attend the gathering at the ITF Ground.
The BJP has fielded a formidable candidate in the form of three-time former Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, from the lone parliamentary seat of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The party’s campaign machinery is operating at full throttle, with the goal of securing victory for their candidate.
With the Bharatiya Janata Party setting an ambitious target of 400+ seats for the National Democratic Alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, every seat becomes crucial. Consequently, the party is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to clinch victory in every constituency it contests.
The rally at Port Blair signifies not only a show of strength by the BJP but also underscores the party’s commitment to securing win in all seats that they had lost in the previous election. On 11th April 2024, all eyes will be on Mr. J P Nadda’s address, it would be interesting to watch if Mr. J P Nadda is able to sense the pulse of the Islands and drive support of the Islanders for Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray.
