Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Secretary, Dr. Asha Lakra, received a heartfelt welcome during her one-day visit to the picturesque Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The purpose of her visit was to participate in the National Programme “Gaon Chalo Abhiyaan” being organised by the BJP.
Upon her arrival at the island, Dr. Asha Lakra was warmly greeted by key party officials, including Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President of BJP, Mr. M Vinod, State Vice President & State Prabhari of Social Media, IT, and Media, and Mrs. Chaitali Halder, a Samiti Member from Chouldari and the State General Secretary of OBC Morcha.
During her visit, Dr. Asha Lakra conducted a workshop as part of the Gaon Chalo Abhiyaan, a nationwide initiative by the BJP aimed at reaching the farthest corners of the country. The campaign’s objective is to engage with villagers, create awareness about ongoing government schemes, and foster a stronger connection between the party and the rural population.
Dr. Lakra emphasized the importance of the initiative in ensuring that the benefits of various government schemes reach every corner of the nation, especially in remote villages. The workshop aimed to educate the local communities about the numerous schemes implemented by the Government of India and encourage their active participation.
