Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands today organised a virtual dharna against the post poll violence in West Bengal. The virtual protest was broadcasted live on social media platforms.
Bharatiya Janata Party had called a nationwide protest against the post poll violence in West Bengal.
The leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party from Diglipur to Campbell Bay participated in the virtual protest from their respective Islands. Overall all leaders of the party condemned the attacks on the BJP Workers in West Bengal and called on the Mamta Banerjee led Trinamool Congress to stop political violence.
Some leaders of the party called on the National Leadership to declare President’s Rule in West Bengal, to stop the violence and to bring back normalcy in the state.
Further, the leaders also condemned the threatening comments made by one individual resident of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, in which he had threatened violence in BJP Office at Andaman, if BJP goes forward with the dharna.
The top brass of the party from Andaman and Nicobar Islands participated in the dharna. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Vishal Jolly, Former State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sanjay Kumar Singh, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands along with other senior leaders were seen addressing the karyakartas in the virtual dharna.
