In his letter Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh has thanked the dignitaries for arranging sailing of M.V Kalighat for transportation of stranded Islanders of Little Andaman Island, who were stuck at Port Blair since past few weeks due to non-availability of any means for transportation.

He further mentioned that the Islanders from the Southern Group of Islands are facing the same issues and most of them have already exhausted their money and many of them do not have a place to stay in South Andaman.

He further added that many of those stranded from the Southern Group of Islands are daily wage earners without any income and food. He also mentioned that the stranded students are also losing out on their studies.
