The First Block-Level Inclusive Sports Meet for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) is being organized by Samagra Shiksha, South Andaman, at GSSS Bhatubasti School Ground on November 3 and 4, 2025. The two-day event aims to promote inclusiveness, participation, and equal opportunities for CwSN students through sports and physical activities.

Mr. Vikram Singh, Director (Education & Sports), who graced the occasion as the chief guest, highlighted the importance of encouraging children with special needs to take part in sports and other physical exercises. He urged all PETs and PSRTs to provide maximum opportunities for these students to play, practice, and showcase their talents in various sporting disciplines.

Assuring the Department’s full support in promoting sports at the school level, Mr. Singh emphasized that such initiatives are crucial for building physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students, ultimately fostering a healthy and confident young generation.

The meet features a range of events including track and field competitions, motor skill-based activities, and team games, all designed to suit the abilities of CwSN participants while ensuring full accessibility, safety, and inclusivity.
