Block-Level Training at Diglipur Focuses on Women’s Leadership in Rural Governance

The CD Block Diglipur organised a block-level training programme on building women’s leadership in rural governance at the Conference Hall of Gram Panchayat Subashgram on December 20.

Centred on the theme of Gram Sabha participation and decision-making, the training sought to strengthen the leadership skills of Elected Women Representatives (EWRs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Community Resource Persons (CRPs).

Addressing the participants, BDO M. Rajendra Kumar underscored the critical role women play in the socio-economic fabric of rural communities. BPM Ranjita Kabiraj outlined the objectives of the initiative and stressed the need for more active female voices in local-level governance.

Technical sessions were conducted by C. Vijaya, Domain Expert from the Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs, followed by interactive discussions and a feedback session.
