To commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Block Project Office, Little Andaman, organized a Sports and Exposure Visit under Inclusive Education, Samagra Shiksha, for the academic year 2025–26.
Children with Special Needs (CwSN) from various schools across the island participated in the programme with great enthusiasm. The students were accompanied by their escort teachers and parents, who supported and encouraged them throughout the event.
The celebration featured a series of inclusive sports activities designed to promote participation, build confidence, and encourage social interaction among the children. The initiative aimed to reinforce inclusive practices in education while ensuring equal opportunities for every learner, particularly those with special needs.
The observance aligned with the global theme of promoting inclusivity and accessibility and emphasized the importance of recognizing the abilities and contributions of persons with disabilities in society. The presence and involvement of students, teachers, and parents made the programme a memorable and meaningful experience.
The event also highlighted the continued commitment of Samagra Shiksha and the Block Project Office, Little Andaman, to fostering an inclusive learning environment that enables every child to thrive.
