BSNL has reformulated its FTTH/DSL broadband plans for Andaman and Nicobar Telecom Circle and now the telecom major has decided to provide much more data to its customers for the same price. BSNL has also increased the Pre-FUP speed limit for its customers in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Following is the circular of BSNL regarding the reformulation of its plan:
The increased data and Pre-FUP speed is being offered to the existing customers of BSNL from 16th of December 2021 and new customers will also be able to take benefit of the reformulated plans of BSNL.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands still has the highest broadband tariff in the entire country, but this increase in data and speed for the broadband subscribers of the Islands will act as a boon.
The broadband customers of BSNL had been demanding a reasonable broadband tariff since a long time and this decision of BSNL will help many people.
The speculation is that BSNL has reformulated its broadband plans considering that Airtel is entering the broadband market in Port Blair soon and it is expected that Airtel will launch with much more attractive plans for the Islanders.
It would be interesting to see what BSNL has in store for its customers so that they are not lured away by the attractive plans which will soon be offered by Airtel in Port Blair.
