Once again the dedicated team of Police Station Aberdeen cracked down a burglary case by arresting two burglars and recovered Rs. 1,38,500/- stolen cash within 24 hours.
A burglary case was reported at Police Station Aberdeen in the evening of 14th April 2023. The complainant informed that on 14th April 2023, at around 1 PM, they went to Diwan Singh Gurudwara on the eve of Vaishakhi. When they returned back, they found that household articles were scattered and cash around Rs. 2 Lakhs had been stolen from the almirah.
Upon his complaint, an FIR was registered and investigation was entrusted to SI Jeetender Lal. Soon after the registration of FIR, a team consisting of SI Jeetender Lal, HC Sunil Singh Yadav, PCs S.N Rao, Asish Singh and Shiv Kumar was constituted under the supervision of Insp. Girish Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen for the search of accused and stolen cash.
Within no time, the team swung into action and visited the spot. On inspection of the spot and by analyzing CCTV footages, the burglar was identified as a resident of Dollygunj. Accordingly, the accused person was nabbed from Goal Ghar area in the morning of 15th April 2023. The accused confessed that he had stolen the money with another person of Haddo. An amount of Rs. 1,38,500/- has been recovered from their possession. Further investigation is on.
The entire investigation took place under the guidance of Mr. Sunny Gupta, IPS, Sub Divisional Police Officer, South Andaman, and overall supervision of Mr. Kalaivanan R., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
The general public has been requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100, 03192-233077 & 03192-232400. Police informed that the identity of the informant will be kept secret.
