The Branch Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) of India in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands observed Audit Fortnight, beginning with the celebration of Audit Diwas on 16th November, 2025. Audit Diwas commemorates the day in 1860 when Sir Edward Drummond assumed office as the first Auditor General of India.
This year, the celebrations at the Sri Vijaya Puram office included a Quiz Competition on 17th November, followed by a stakeholder engagement meeting on 28th November. Mr. Aman Gupta, IAS, Secretary (Finance), A&N Administration, graced the occasion. The meeting focused on sharing insights into evolving audit processes and digital advancements with audit entities and soliciting feedback to enhance audit efficiency.
The stakeholder engagement meeting marked the conclusion of the Audit Diwas celebrations at the Branch Office.
