North and Middle Andaman District Police is following a policy of zero tolerance towards narcotic substances. Acting on credible information regarding the cultivation of Cannabis plants, a team headed by Inspr. Stalin N.S, SHO PS Diglipur, HC Thangarajan, PCs Devsai Toppo, Santosh Lall, Abubacker Siddique, Samaresh Mistry, Samir Halder, K. Ismail and Ct (Driver) Pawan Singh conducted raids.
On 09/11/2022 team raided and recovered 03 Nos. Cannabis plants from possession of a resident of R.K Gram. Another raid was conducted on 11/11/2022 at Sita Nagar where Police recovered 03 Nos. Cannabis plants including 26 gram Ganja from the possession of a resident of Sitanagar.
In total 517 grams of illicit ganja and plants were seized. Both the accused were arrested by observing all legal formalities and 02 different cases have been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at PS Diglipur.
The entire trap was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Lakshya Pandey, DANIPS, SDPO, Diglipur and the overall supervision of SP, N & M Andaman.
The general public has been requested to pass and share any credible information regarding any crime or illegal activities to their nearest Police Station or over the phone Nos.100, 112 & 03192-273344. The identity of the informers will be kept secret and they will also be suitably rewarded.
