Model Career Centre (Employment Exchange) under the Directorate of Employment & Training conducted a comprehensive Career Guidance Programme at PM SHRI Govt. Senior Secondary School, Prothrapur. The event aimed to provide students with valuable insights into choosing appropriate career paths and understanding the significance of skill training.
The programme commenced with an introduction by Ms. K. Binu, Vocational Guidance Officer, who emphasized the importance of making informed career decisions. She encouraged students to consider their interests, strengths, and future goals while selecting career paths. Detailed information on various vocational courses and employment opportunities was also provided. Additionally, students were guided on registering with the National Career Service (NCS) Portal to access further career resources.
Mr. Rupak, an instructor and resource person from Govt. ITI, Dollygunj, delivered a session highlighting the importance of skill training. He provided detailed insights into various trades offered by Govt. ITI, including Draughtsman, Electrician, Fitter, Motor Mechanic, Surveyor, Plumber, Welder, and Stenography. The session underscored how acquiring specific skills relevant to industries can enhance employability and career prospects.
A total of 70 students participated in the programme. At the conclusion of the event, both students and teachers expressed their gratitude for the valuable insights and guidance provided.
Similar programmes were also conducted at PM SHRI Govt. Senior Secondary School Bambooflat and Gram Panchayat Tushnabad & Nilumbur during the month, extending the reach of career guidance and skill training to more students in the region.
