Carnic Festival-2023 Wraps Up with a Spectacular Closing Ceremony

The three-day extravaganza, Carnic Festival-2023, organised by the District Administration of Nicobars, came to a vibrant conclusion on 24th August 2023, in a lively closing ceremony held at Edward Kuchat Park, Car Nicobar. The event, attended by Tribal Leaders, Government Officials, and enthusiastic locals, was officially closed by Mr. Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Nicobar District.

The final day of the festival was a spectacular display of local culture and talent. The day featured the grand finale of various dance and music competitions, a significant part of the cultural celebration meticulously orchestrated by the District Administration.

The highlight of the closing day was the mesmerising performances by the local youth, who captivated the crowd with their exceptional skills. The Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, added to the excitement by announcing the winners of the dance and music competitions, bringing cheers and applause from the enthusiastic audience. Certificates of recognition were presented to both winners and participants, acknowledging their outstanding contributions to the festival’s success.

Notably, the top three stalls that showcased their exhibits during the event were also honoured with certificates on the closing day, emphasising the festival’s commitment to fostering local talent and culture.

The Carnic Festival-2023, meticulously organized by the District Administration of Nicobar, has concluded as a resounding success. Beyond being a community celebration of the rich local culture, the festival also served as a remarkable platform for the region’s youth to display their talents, solidifying its significance in the hearts of the Nicobar community.
