The Deputy Registrar of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Kolkata Bench, has announced that the Tribunal will hold a Circuit Sitting at Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, from September 8 to September 19, 2025 (both days inclusive).
During this period, fresh applications will also be entertained by the Tribunal. Departments with pending CAT cases have been advised to coordinate with the Government Pleader or Panel Advocates by providing all relevant documents and briefing them in detail. This will enable the Government Counsel to defend cases on behalf of the Administration with full preparation.
Further, Heads of Departments have been requested to direct their Nodal Officers to remain present in the Tribunal on the scheduled hearing dates, along with necessary documents, to assist the Government Pleader/Panel Advocates during proceedings. (Story Based on PR)
