CBSE Declares Class X and XII Results; Girls Achieve Greater Overall Pass Percentage than Boys in A&N Islands

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for the All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (Class XII) and the All India Secondary School Examination (Class X) for the academic year 2024–25. Students from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands recorded higher overall pass percentages among girls compared to boys in both examinations.

In Class XII, 4,882 students were registered — 2,257 boys and 2,625 girls. Out of 4,852 who appeared (2,241 boys and 2,611 girls), a total of 4,490 students passed the examination. This included 2,020 boys and 2,470 girls. The overall pass percentage stood at 92.54%, with 94.60% girls and 90.14% boys passing the exam. 25 schools in the islands recorded a 100% pass rate in Class XII.

In Class X, 5,473 students were registered — 2,763 boys and 2,710 girls. Of the 5,432 who appeared (2,738 boys and 2,694 girls), 5,154 passed — 2,550 boys and 2,604 girls. The overall pass percentage was 94.88%, with 96.66% girls and 93.13% boys passing. A total of 67 schools in the islands secured 100% pass results in Class X.
