Central Crime Station Conducts Successful Raid on Illegal Gambling Den: Nine Arrested and Cash Seized

In a proactive move against illegal gambling activities, the Central Crime Station, led by Sub-Inspector Parvash, orchestrated a successful raid on April 7th, 2024. Supported by a dedicated team including HC/ Sanjit Madhu, HC/Sanjay Kujur, PC/ N. Thangaraj, PC/Chandran, PC/Rajendan, and PC/Amos George, the operation unfolded under the vigilant eye of Inspector Girish Kumar, SHO PS CCS.

The raid, a testament to the unwavering commitment of law enforcement to combat illicit practices, targeted a gambling den thriving in the heart of Krishna Nagar at Shadipur. Despite attempts by the gamblers to elude capture, the determined police team managed to apprehend all nine individuals involved in the unlawful activities.

A meticulous search conducted at the scene yielded significant evidence. The authorities seized a substantial sum of Rs. 1,22,030/- in cash. Board money amounting to Rs. 97,624/- was seized. Furthermore, an additional Rs. 24,406/- was recovered from personal searches conducted on the suspects.

The apprehended individuals now face charges under Sections 5/7 of the Andaman and Nicobar Gambling Regulation 1951. This decisive action underscores the Central Crime Station’s commitment to upholding the law and safeguarding the well-being of the community.
