Central Crime Station Seizes 151 Bottles of IMFL & 36 Bottles of Beer, Arrests Seven Persons in Special Excise Raids from 6th April to 14th April 2024

In a concerted effort to combat the sale of illicit liquor, the Central Crime Station conducted special excise raids from April 6th to April 14th, 2024. Led by a team comprising Head Constables Sanjit Madhu, Sanjay Kujur, S. Baroi, Constables K. Rajendran, N. Thangaraj, Amos George, Y. Srinivas Rao, Chandran, and PC Kavita Dutta, the police operation resulted in the seizure of 151 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and 36 bottles of beer from the possession of seven bootleggers.

The individuals involved in the illegal activity were promptly arrested, and cases under section 32 Reg. III of 1876 have been registered against them at the Central Crime Station police station.

The raids were carried out under the command of Mr. Kumar Abhishek, Deputy Superintendent of Police (CID), with overall supervision from Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, IPS, Superintendent of Police (CID).

In a bid to further involve the public in the fight against illicit activities, authorities have urged citizens to report any credible information regarding the illegal sale or possession of alcohol or any other illicit activity.
