Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Central Goods and Services Tax, Andaman and Nicobar Division organised an Outreach and Awareness Programme at Campbell Bay last Saturday. The programme was organised at the premises of Govind Nagar Panchayat.
GST Assessees were sensitised on return filings and other compliance during the programme. The assesses were asked to file their returns on time and pay the taxes properly.
The team members answered several queries of the assessees and asked them to reach out, in case, they face any issues related to GST.
Several GST Assessees of Great Nicobar Island attended the meeting along with Mr. Venkat Rao, Pradhan Govind Nagar Gram Panchayat and Mr. Prahlad Singh, Pradhan, Laxmi Nagar Gram Panchayat.
A similar programme was earlier organised by the same team at Car Nicobar Island.
The CGST team consisted of Assistant Commissioner, CGST, A & N Division; Superintendent, CGST, A & N Division and two Inspectors of CGST, A & N Division.
The GST Assessees of Great Nicobar asked the officials to conduct more awareness programmes in the near future for their benefit.
