As part of the nationwide build-up to the International Day of Yoga 2025, a vibrant celebration was held in Kamorta today, reflecting the community’s growing commitment to health, mindfulness, and holistic well-being.
The day began with a Yoga Awareness Rally organised by the Community Health Centre (CHC), Nancowry at Kamorta Jetty from 6:30 AM onwards. The rally aimed to promote awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga, encouraging its integration into daily routines.
Personnel from the Police Department Kamorta, Marine Police, Fire Department, Education Department, and Medical Department actively participated in the event. They engaged in a series of yoga postures and breathing exercises aligned with the Common Yoga Protocol, demonstrating yoga’s profound impact on overall wellness.
Adding to the momentum, the Indian Coast Guard Station, Kamorta, in collaboration with CHC Nancowry, hosted a dedicated Yoga Practice and Demonstration Session at the Civil Helipad, Kamorta. The session served as a platform to reinforce yoga’s role in fostering unity, discipline, and a healthier lifestyle.
The collective enthusiasm and coordination among various departments made the prelude to International Day of Yoga 2025 both impactful and inspiring, setting a positive tone for the official observance on 21st June.
