Chef Competition to Be Held During Island Seafood Festival–2026 at Sri Vijaya Puram

The Department of Fisheries, in association with the Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T) Department, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, will organise a Chef Competition as part of the Island Seafood Festival–2026, scheduled to be held on January 15 and 16, 2026, at the Marina Park Stretch Road, Sri Vijaya Puram.

The Island Seafood Festival is being organised with financial support from the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad, and will have a special focus on Tuna Cluster Development in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, aimed at promoting island seafood and strengthening fisheries-based livelihoods.

As part of the festival programme, the Department of Fisheries has invited men and women interested in participating in the Chef Competition to showcase their seafood culinary skills. Participants are required to prepare seafood dishes at home and present their island seafood delicacies on January 15, 2026, at a specially allotted space at the festival venue.

The dishes will be judged by an expert panel based on preparation and presentation, and winners will be felicitated during the festival.
