Senior Citizens aged above 80 years can travel for free in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on both Govt. and Private Buses. These citizens can avail free travel in buses by showing their Photo ID card depicting their age like Voter ID, Aadhaar, PAN Card, Senior Citizen Certificate etc.
Mr. Jitendra Narain, Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Islands recently tweeted about the free travel for the senior citizens aged 80+.

The Directorate of Transport website already lists free bus travel for Super Senior Citizens aged 80+, but the website informs that a pass will be issued for the same with a validity of two years.
Doing away with the mandate of obtaining a pass by the super senior citizens is a welcome move. Now super senior citizens will not have to visit the offices of the Transport Department to get a pass made every two years.
Free bus travel for super senior citizens with just their Photo ID depicting age is being appreciated by citizens from all walks of life.
