The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, released a Special Edition Newsletter on India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025 during the Senior Officers’ Meeting held on 4th November 2025.

It captures key discussions, flagship projects, and emerging investment opportunities in the sectors of ports, shipping, tourism, and fisheries.

Releasing the newsletter, the Chief Secretary emphasized the strategic role of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in advancing India’s maritime interests. He urged all Departments to align their initiatives with the country’s evolving maritime priorities under the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.

The newsletter features major initiatives showcased by the Administration during IMW 2025, including the Great Nicobar Island Project, the proposed Ship Repair Hub at Diglipur, the Integrated Fishing Harbour at Mayabunder, promotion of game fishing, and plans to develop the Islands as a cruise and diving tourism destination.
