As part of the closing ceremony of the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign, a cleanliness drive was organised on Gandhi Jayanti along the stretch of road connecting Bimblitan Village to NH-4 under the jurisdiction of Gram Panchayat Sippighat.

The drive saw enthusiastic participation from Dr. Apurva Sharma, Director (RD/Panchayat), Mrs. Gurjeet Kaur, Block Development Officer, Prothrapur, Ms. Jyothi, Pradhan, GP Sippighat, officials from the Directorate of RD, Block and Panchayat offices, sanitary workers of the Gram Panchayats, and local villagers. Together, the participants carried out a cleaning initiative aimed at spreading awareness on hygiene, sanitation, and the importance of community participation in maintaining clean public spaces.

Following the drive, Dr. Sharma visited the Gaushala established at Bimblitan Village. He lauded the efforts of Gram Panchayat Sippighat in setting up the facility and stressed its role in effective stray cattle management. He also suggested exploring a tie-up with the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council to relocate stray cattle from municipal areas to the Bimblitan Gaushala to ensure better care and management.

The program concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to carry forward the spirit of Swachhta Hi Seva beyond its official closing, underlining that cleanliness is not a one-time event but a continuous responsibility shared by every citizen.
